Most multifunction products enable the user to print, copy and scan as standard and many multifunction printers include a built-in fax function for the complete all in one printer solution.
Here’s our pick of two of the most marvellous multifunctionals for home and office.
First of all we bring you the Lexmark CX510de – one that really does have it all. This machine is designed to help larger offices bring printing back in-house by delivering high quality colour printing that’s guaranteed to produce great brand and company materials.

True 1,200 x 1,200dpi print resolution makes sure that every print is crisp and sharp whilst Lexmark’s innovative toner technology ensures that toner waste is kept to a minimum.
Next up, we have the OKI MB770dn. This mono printer is the ideal machine to bring speed, flexibility and convenience to your office environment. Printerland marks a major milestone in the company’s history as it celebrates its first £1 million week.
As the UK’s largest reseller of printers and inks, our company has kicked off what we call the ‘golden run’ – the lucrative sales period between September and December – by more than doubling our average weekly income.
As we gear up to celebrate our 21st anniversary later this year, our Altrincham-based team is toasting our success in helping customers find affordable printer solutions that fit their needs perfectly. Turnover for the month of September increased by 42 per cent to £3.2 million compared to 2012 figures, with A3 printer sales rising by 60 per cent.
Printerland’s managing director, James Kight, said: “Achieving £1 million worth of sales in just one week is unprecedented and is a true testament to the hard work and dedication of the team. We had a strong focus on education in September which has given us a real boost.
“The ‘golden run’ between September and December is typically when the most sales are made, but regardless of this, it’s still a real achievement for the business.”
Founded in 1993 by business partners James Kight and Graham Vickers, Printerland works with leading print manufacturers such as OKI, Xerox and Lexmark and we successfully opened our first overseas office – with a state-of-the-art customer experience centre – in South Africa in 2012.
Co-founder, Graham Vickers, remarked: “The £1 million week is a fantastic milestone and one that will hopefully be a perfect foundation for ambitious growth, as we look to build on our success.”
In addition, Printerland’s expansion and sales successes follow our recent announcement of record annual results – with a £22 million turnover during 2012/13.

You have a big client meeting in 10 minutes. As if on cue, the office printer experiences a dreaded paper jam in the middle of your 30-page report, leaving you frustrated and anxious to sort out the problem.
Luckily, most printer models today are designed with features to help you quickly address the issue, like easy-access doors, anti-jam rollers and displays that can indicate where the jam has occurred. Some manufacturers even offer a printer recovery feature that automatically reprints jammed pages as soon as the machinery has been cleared.
If you’re lucky, the printer will spit a crumpled sheet into the output tray, misshapen but still intact. However, if you find that a stubborn jam refuses to clear, here are five examples of what NOT to do:
Remember – with a little patience, even the most stubborn paper jam can be removed. However, if you are experiencing this issue on a regular basis consider having your printer serviced or updating to a Lexmark CX510 with improved paper handling.
Usually on our blog you’ll find product information, tips and tricks and industry news. Today, we have good news for you!
We’re excited to announce that as part of our expansion, Printerland has made its mark oversees by launching a state-of-the-art customer experience demonstration centre in South Africa. The secondary office was opened in Cape Town earlier this year.
As the country begins to develop a strong name in the technology sector, the expansion is aimed at helping build our reputation by having a presence on the ground. It is hoped this office will pave the way for global expansion with other international sales hubs planned over the next 12 to 18 months.
Here at Printerland, we’re continuing to go from strength-to-strength – we even celebrate our 21st birthday later this year.
Opening our first overseas arm is the perfect way to mark this milestone, expanding our customer offering by providing a pioneering experience centre that will help to bring our innovative products to life.
We’re proud to have achieved great success in the UK market and having a base in South Africa will allow us to break into an exciting international market.
