BROTHER HIGHLIGHTS ENVIRONMENTAL ACHIEVEMENTS IN NEW REPORT

Brother UK has published its annual Corporate Responsibility Report – presenting a comprehensive picture of the company’s performance ‘beyond the balance sheet.’
With climate change continuing to be a major concern, the publication highlights Brother’s strong environmental credentials, including the company’s partnership with Cool Earth to save acres of irreplaceable eco-system in the Peruvian Rainforest.
Jayne Broddle the Brother UK Corporate Responsibility Manager says: “Businesses are increasingly being asked to demonstrate how they measure up beyond their balance sheet and we have a good story to tell – with a clear commitment to environmental issues, the health and safety of our employees and to making a positive contribution to our industry and the local community.”
Information on employee welfare, compliance with legislation, industry liaison and community involvement can also be found in the 28-page document which covers the period from 1 April 2009 – 31 March 2010.
