    Printerland Renew Sharks Sponsorship

The famous Printerland Stand at EP

Altrincham based Printerland.co.uk have renewed their five year sponsorship support of Sale Sharks for the upcoming 2010/11 Season. The new deal sees Printerland.co.uk retain the naming rights to the Printerland.co.uk Stand for all events at Edgeley Park. The iconic Printerland.co.uk signage will remain the backdrop for Charlie Hodgson’s penalty kicks and conversions, ensuring the market leading online retailer of printers and peripherals will put their brand in front of millions of television viewers who will tune in to watch Premiership rugby next season. Live television coverage for Premiership rugby will more than double next season thanks to new television contracts with Sky Sports and ESPN.

Printerland.co.uk have also expanded their support into the grass roots of rugby union in the North West with a new community programme that will be jointly sponsored by printer manufacturer Lexmark. The new programme, currently entitled the Printerland Promote Rugby programme, will see Sale Sharks players visit schools and rugby clubs throughout the season to provide children with coaching expertise and encouragement to play rugby. In addition to the visits from Sale Sharks’ players, Printerland.co.uk will also be providing Sale Sharks match tickets and rugby equipment to deserving clubs and schools.

Printerland.co.uk Director James Kight believes the new television will increase the offline presence of his brand.

“We believe it is important to support the North West’s Premiership rugby club, whilst also giving some back to the grass roots of sport in our community. But this sponsorship is also good business for Printerland.co.uk and Lexmark. We expect to receive more than £1M worth of offline exposure for our brand, thanks to the new television agreement for Premiership Rugby next season. Through Sale Sharks, we support sport in the North West and gain great offline exposure for our business. We’re really pleased to be renewing this deal.”

Sale Sharks Commercial Director Nathan Bombrys is pleased that the club has renewed another long-standing partner.

“We’ve been working with Printerland.co.uk through an impressive period of growth for their company. We believe to think that part of their success is due to the exposure and profile they have gained through their sponsorship association with Sale Sharks. The fact that they have renewed again for another season is proof that they also appreciate the value in the sponsorship. Plus, with the huge increase in television exposure next season, they will see a massive return on their investment.”
