A BIG Thank You!

Broadoak School pupils collect autographs with Charlie Hodgson of Sale Sharks

Pupils of Broadoak, Primary School in Partington were special guests of Sale Sharks Rugby Club courtesy of Printerland.co.uk.

To quote the Ofsted report, ‘Broadoak is a much smaller than average secondary school, serving an area of social and economic disadvantage’. However, this school is exceptional, well run and with excellent facilities and clearly shows what can be done with passion, commitment and belief.

Managing Director, Graham Vickers said ‘I know the area very well and remember how bad that school was. I would take a five mile detour rather than go near it. Now it is a beacon of success and a credit to all the staff and pupils. Outstanding’…

On the night the pupils met the stars of the team, collected autographs and hopefully got a taste for the game of rugby.

We recently received this letter thanking us for the evening:

Dear All at Printerland

Just a quick note to say a great BIG ‘Thank you’ for all involved in making Friday night a memorable evening for the children and staff in our party.

I never fail to be amazed by the generosity, warmth and kindness I encounter when putting these trips together. It really is fantastic that even during the cut and thrust of commercial and school life people will make time to give a little, or a lot, so that our children can enjoy an experience which will almost certainly otherwise be denied to them. I must tell you that your efforts are very much time well spent as the lift that such a trip provides around school is huge and long lasting. I can only say a simple ‘thank you’ for your help but somehow this seems inadequate when we look back on the superb evening enjoyed by all.

Thank you so much for supporting Broadoak School. The free tickets, flags, waterproof coats, chat with Sharky and access to the players for autographs after the game made this a night to remember. Then, when Dean arrived to say ‘Hello’ to our party it really made the evening for the children (and some of the staff!) This type of trip provides the children with a much needed special event to look forward to.

Yours sincerely
