OKI makes it easier to convert paper to electronic documents
November 20th, 2009 Posted in General, Industry NewsOKI Printing Solutions has introduced its Desktop Capture Solution which enables businesses to easily convert paper to electronic documents from its colour and monochrome multifunction products (MFPs) product line.
With the Desktop Capture Solution firms can scan paper documents directly into document management systems without the need for additional data imports and uploads that are necessary with other systems, said OKI.
OKI said the system’s integration capability is powered by a connector that provides simple and seamless integration with current document management systems.
OKI said its MFPs become more productive with Desktop Capture Solution, by enabling efficient PDF-based workflow directly from the MFP to the business’ document management system.
“We are seeing a common shift toward electronic document management across all business segments, because it inherently makes current workflow processes more efficient and less costly,” said Carl Taylor, director of marketing at OKI Data Americas.
“Desktop Capture Solution makes the transition from paper processes effortless, while making information more accessible within an organisation, and, ultimately, drastically reducing the complexity and time it takes employees to perform everyday business functions,” said Taylor.
