England Team Manager Martin Johnson has decided to introduce three new caps on Saturday when England play Argentina at Old Trafford for ‘The Standard Bank Cup’ and reunites the Armitage brothers, full back Delon and back row Steffon (both London Irish), for the first time from the start since England played Italy last February.
Matt Banahan (Bath Rugby) and David Wilson (Newcastle Falcons) who both started against the Barbarians last weekend make their Test debuts as does Tom May (Newcastle Falcons) who came off the bench in the same game to score a second half try.
Johnson has made a total of five changes to the starting XV from England’s match against the Barbarians with Mark Cueto, Dan Hipkiss, Tom May, James Haskell and Steffon Armitage replacing Ben Foden, Jamie Noon, Jordan Turner-Hall, Chris Robshaw and Lewis Moody respectively.
Julian White will win his 50th cap for England if he comes off the bench after making his debut against South Africa in 2000.
