Xerox solid ink technology revolutionised office printing. For the first time, you could print brilliant colour without sacrificing the speed, ease-of-use and reliability you came to expect from black and white devices. Now, solid ink eliminates the one remaining barrier between you and everyday colour printing: Cost. With the Phaser 8860 printer and 8860MFP multifunction printer, you get amazing colour for the same low cost as black and white.
Highlights of other reviews:
howstuffworks.com says: The Xerox Phaser 8860 is a solid ink printer that could save you money…We were also pleased with this model’s color output quality; images have deep, saturated color with accurate rendition…With its impressive output quality and low per-page output costs, the Xerox Phaser 8860 may be an ideal printer for a workgroup or small business that needs color printing capabilities.
pcmag.com says: …The Xerox Phaser 8860 Color Printer ink costs are so low that the savings can easily pay for the printer itself.
Xerox alliance partner, triboni, has introduced its Xerox Multi Functional Printer (MFP) suite, software which integrates some Xerox printers with corporate business processes – and offers support for the iPhone.
iPhone users can access these business processes – supported by Xerox’s Extensible Interface Platform (EIP) – remotely, bringing a new mobile dimension to the workflow. The software allows users to scan batches of documents on a Xerox MFP and send them directly to another person, location or workflow and store them in a content management system such as Xerox’s Docushare.
Mobile workers can retrieve, review and redistribute documents without the need for a PC or notebook computer meaning that even highly mobile workers can fully contribute to the workflow regardless of their physical location.
The software reduces manual intervention, reduces delays caused by filing mistakes and misplaced documents, eliminates data entry errors and accelerates workflows by automatically transmitting information to the people and applications that need it.
Mark Boyt, product marketing manager, Office Group, Xerox Europe said: “This is an excellent example of how innovative development can bring rapid business benefits. In this case, Xerox’s EIP platform is the enabling technology for triboni’s software to integrate documents scanned on the Xerox MFP into a variety of business processes and workflows. With process automation, the system helps companies to increase productivity and reduce errors and costs.”
The triboni MFP suite also comes with a number of web-based configuration and monitoring tools that allows controlling the scan process, workflow and overall system status.
